宇陀市周辺はすばらしい仏教美術の宝庫です。
先日もご近所のお宅で若い方が描かれた仏画をみせてもらい
あまりステキな仏様だったので感動のあまり作者にファンレターを送ってしまいました。するとなんとご本人から直接ご返事と近作の写真が・・
ギシギシしていた心が「ふわ〜っ」と柔らかくなれた
とてもうれしい仏様との出会いでした。

The other day, one of my neighbor showed me wonderful drawings of Buddha.
I was so impressed and sent a fan-letter to the artist.
To my surprise, I received her reply and a photo of her latest work.
The smile of this Buddha has melted the ice around my heart.
It sure was a happy encounter.
