室生寺 Murouji

 

11月22日に室生寺へ行って来ました。

紅葉がみごろでとてもきれいでした。

 ちょうど期間中だったので、金堂の仏像を特別拝観できました。

 千年以上前に造られた仏様たちは、どなたも圧倒的な素晴らしさでした。

近鉄室生口大野駅より 約７km。駅からのバスは一時間に約一本。

平日の早朝に行けたので、人もあまり多くなくてゆっくり歩けました。職員の方にお聞きしたら、紅葉の時季は10時から昼過ぎまでは混むけれど、それを避ければマシということでした。

奥の院まで行きましたが、階段に手すりのない部分もあり命がけでした。足に自信がないときはパスした方が良いと思いました。

帰り道大野寺の磨崖仏も見に行きました。

 こちらは公道から見られるので無料で楽しめます。

昔の人のガーデンデザインのスケールに感動しっぱなしの一日でした。

On November 22, I visited Murouji to enjoy autumn leaves.

Accidentally, Buddhist statues including the designated national treasures were on display.  They were breathtakingly beautiful.  It's had to believe that they were made more that a thousand years ago.  

Murouji is 7km away from Murouguchi-Oono station of Kintesu railway.  The public bus runs between the station and Murouji once an hour.

On my way back to the station, I stopped at Oonodera to see the buddha statue carved on the rock.  It can be seen from the public street without paying  admission fee.

The long-term perspective of the ancient garden designers is just astonishing!

伊那佐山 Mt. Inasa

奈良県宇陀市榛原にある伊那佐山。山頂まで麓の登山口から一時間強で上れるのでお手軽にハイキングが楽しめます。

 先日地域のイベントで山頂まで行って来ました。 登山道も整備されているので坂はちょっときつかったですがとても楽しく上れました。地元の小学校では一年生から上るそうです。でも坂は急で、滑りやすい場所も多いのでハイキングに適した靴が必要だと思いました。

山頂には神社があり、眺めの良い場所もあります。

 榛原駅から奈良交通バス菟田野行きまたは東吉野村役場行きにのり約10分、バス停『比布（ひふ）』下車。登山口がすぐそばにあります。

今年の台風では随分登山道に木が倒れていて、イベント前に地域の方々で整備して下さったそうです。台風のあとは、宇陀市の観光課などで事前確認をしたほうが良さそうです。

冬の霧の日には、家の地下からこんな風に見えました。

比布のバス停のそばにはシェアキッチンの「伊那佐郵人」（営業不定期。長期冬休みあり）もあるので、うまく営業日にあたればランチやデザートが楽しめます。

Mt Inasa in Haibara, Uda-city has a nice hiking trail.  It only takes a little over an hour from the nearest bus stop ''Hifu'' of Nara-Koutu Bus.  It's 10 minutes ride from Haibara-station of Kintesu railway.  This year, the trail was damaged by typhoon.  Thanks to the hard work of the local residents who cleared the path.  we could have a hiking event in November.  Although the trail is well maintained, it's quite steep and slippery.  Good hiking shoes with durable sole are recommended.

宇陀松山 秋山城趾 ruin of Akiyama castle

 

宇陀市大宇陀松山地区にある城跡。秋山城は織田＆豊臣時代に築かれ、江戸時代初期1615年に幕命により取り壊されたそうです。

発掘調査を基に描かれた最盛期の城の復元図。この図の後に天守閣部分も発掘され、かなり立派なお城であったことがわかってきたそうです。

建物は何も残っていませんが、城跡からのながめは360°パノラマの絶景です。

松山地区のまちなみギャラリー千軒舎のわきから上れます(約600m)。　
春日神社からの上る道は台風の被害で現在閉鎖中。

千軒舎からの500mは舗装されていますが、

 最後100mは山道＆急坂＆悪路なので
滑りにくい靴と元気な足腰が必需品。

晴天で風がおだやかだと最高のプチ・ハイキングスポットです。　
登り口周辺にはオシャレなケーキ屋さん、酒蔵カフェ、和菓子屋さんなどステキなお店も沢山あります。

The ruin of Akiyama Castle in Uda-Matsuyama district is a great destination for mini-hiking.  No building remains since it was completely demolished by Tokugawa Shougunate in 1961.  But the view from there is stunning.

There are two trails to reach there, but the one from Kasuga shrine is closed now due to the damage by the typhoon.

It's about 600m walk from Sengensya along the main street of Uda-Matsuyama district.   Although the first 500m is a easy path, the last 100m is quit steep and rough.  So good walking shoes is a must, in addition to good weather and gentle winds.

馬が来た！ horses have come!

近所に馬が２頭やってきました。　とても元気なお姉さんが仕掛人。
地域の方々の草刈りも手伝って（食べて）くれているそうです。
来春には馬と一緒に伊那佐山ハイキングもできるかもしれないそうで、とっても楽しみです。

 最初に来た『霧芝』くんはとても優しげな子で、ひとめぼれ！　散歩の途中に立ち寄ると、柵からアタマを出してなでさせてくれます。

あとから来たサラブレッドちゃんも、そろそろここに馴染んだかな？

場所は宇陀市榛原石田の伊那佐文化センターと旧伊那佐幼稚園の間の消防機庫の裏。機庫の右側から入れます。

Two horses have joined our neighborhood as part of the main staff for the circular agriculture program.  They were on Mainichi newspaper the other day.  Their house is in between Inasa-Bunka-center and ex-kindergarten in Haibara-Ishida, Uda-city.

榛原の古本屋さん李茜舎(りせんしゃ) Risensya book store

近鉄榛原駅のすぐそばにとてもステキな古本屋さんがあります。
私は特に食と農のコーナーがお気に入り。

南口の階段を下りて、左側のau のお店の先の信号を渡って二軒目。三和相互住宅販売の向こう隣です。

出張買い取りもやっておられ、先日頼んでみたら、本への愛いっぱいのご主人夫妻がすごく丁寧に対応してくださり、きちんと納得のいく値段で買い取ってもらえました。
大切にしてた本だったので、「娘を良い方の所にお嫁に出せた」みたいなほのぼのとした気持ちになれました。

This is my favorite second-hand book store near Haibara station of Kintetsu railway.　When you go down the stairs from the south exit of the station,  you will find it on the left side, across the street from au cellphone shop.  It's the second building from the stop light.  

I especially like their shelves of the books about food and agriculture.

I sold my books to them the other day.  The store owner came to my place and picked them up.  The owner's couple took care of my beloved books like treasures.  It was such a heartwarming experience for me.
