宇陀市の近鉄榛原駅から芳野川ぞいに南下すると、上流にむかって見事な桜並木が何カ所もあります。
榛原大橋付近の「猟路の桜」↓ 榛原駅から徒歩約8分。
There are many lines of cherry trees along the Hono river in Uda-city
Ryoji-no-sakura is near Haibara-oohashi bridge. 8 minutes walk from Haibara station of Kintesu railway
八咫烏神社のそば、高塚バス停付近↓ 駅から5キロほど南。
桜広場には観光トイレもあり。
Yatagarasu-shrine and the bus stop ''Takatuka'' area. 5 km south of Haibara station. Sakura-hiroba has a public lavatory for tourists.
菟田野の水分（みくまり）桜↓ 駅から10キロほど南。並木の南端近くにはアグリマートとローソンがあります。
Mikumari-zakura is 10 km south of Haibara station. There are Utano agri-mart and Lawson near the south end of the tree line
そのまた上流の岩端（いわはし）にもすばらしい並木があるそうです。
川沿いには上の３カ所以外にも桜の木がいっぱいあるので、徒歩や自転車でまわると楽しいです。
駅から菟田野まではサイクリングコースになっています。（芳野川コース）

榛原駅南側の「うだ観処」では電動アシスト自転車のレンタルがあり、菟田野や大宇陀で返却もできます。ただし台数が限られているのでハイシーズンには事前確認が必要かも。私は今年のお花見の時期に行ってみたら「自転車品切れ」でした。
芳野川ぞいの榛原〜菟田野間は、川にそって
奈良交通バスも走っているので、自転車や自動車がなくても大丈夫。
There is another beautiful line of cherry trees in Iwahashi area along the upperstream of Hono river.
It is a lot of fun to walk or bike along the river, which has many more cherry trees besides these 4 areas. There is a nice bicycle route from Haibara station to Utano. Electric rental bikes are available at the tourist information stand ''uda-midokoro'' in Haibara station. Since the number of their bikes are quite limited, it may be better to call and make a reservation in advance.
Nara-koutu bus also runs from Haibara station to Utano.
