材料はまったく藁だけ。縦糸や鼻緒になる縄も自分で綯いました。
お米作りは本当に無駄のない尊いお仕事だとしみじみ感動しました。
My neighbor lady whose family grow rice gave me a bundle of rice straw the other day. So I made a pair of straw sandal for the first time. The left one is my first attempt, and the right one is the second. I hope some improvements can be seen in them. The material is nothing but rice straw. I made the straw ropes for the warps and the straps myself. A lot of videos on the web taught me how to make them. I am so grateful to all the people who shared their expertise. Thank you so much!
